Finely textured barware

A cocktail tumbler and ice bucket with a matt black finish are the latest additions to the porcelain collection Prometheus

New Titans for home bars: after the original white tumblers in the Prometheus collection proved to be an enduring hit, in 2019 sieger design added a matt black version. The finely textured matt finish further accentuates the striking, masculine look of the gin and cocktail tumbler and the sculptural ice bucket from SIEGER by FÜRSTENBERG.

A precise relief of a man’s face transforms both items, which are named after the Titan from Greek mythology, into miniature sculptures. The tumbler and ice buckets perfectly complement one another, and feature a finely textured matt finish on the outside. “The unique finish makes them even more striking,” says Michael Sieger. The interior of both models is plated with 24-carat gold, contrasting with the white or black exterior.

As well as designing the products, sieger design was also responsible for the packaging. The gin and cocktail tumblers are wrapped in glistening gold paper on which the recipe for the Prometheus cocktail is printed. Mixologist Marie Rausch, Falstaff’s barmaid of the year 2019, developed the gin-based cocktail specially for the marketing of the collection. As part of the PR strategy, sieger design is coordinating and extending its partnership with the barkeeper, one of Germany’s very best.

Like all the premium brand’s other collections, the Prometheus tumblers and ice bucket are made by hand in the Porzellanmanufaktur FÜRSTENBERG studios.
