Unmistakable personality

sieger design develops the new and unique Lissé fitting series for Dornbracht

A strong character: with its independent and striking design, Lissé enriches the portfolio of the agency’s long-standing partner. Unveiled to the public for the first time in 2016, this series stands apart from the rest of the entry-level segment due to the clear, individual formal language and the quality so typical of Dornbracht fittings. One particular hallmark is the dynamically aligned lever, which makes a bold statement and facilitates intuitive use.

Simply unmistakable – Lissé oozes personality. The progressive lever design dominates the overall appearance and identity of the range of fittings. “The upwards-pointing lever is positioned at a very low height, giving Lissé a unique twist and lending it a dynamic effect,” says Michael Sieger, explaining the characteristic form. “Slender and with a conical taper, it stands out from the flowing outline of the body and thus underscores the light and minimalist style.”

In order to achieve the signature aesthetic of Lissé, it was necessary to keep making minute and subtle changes in the design and technical development phases. Alongside the innovations and specifications, it was necessary to deeply embed the cartridge in the cylindrical body, the radius of which gently transcends into a soft and rounded lower contour on the base of the spout. Coherent formal transitions and carving-free smooth lines give rise to a harmonious unit that makes sparing use of both material and volume. With an elegant and natural appearance, it can easily be incorporated into settings of many different styles.

Precision, striking design and high-quality craftsmanship make it clear that Lissé is a typical Dornbracht fitting. It is available in either chrome or matt platinum. The series includes products for washbasins, bidets, showers and baths. A special product is the single-lever mixer for the washbasin, which is optionally available as a special, water-saving version. With 21 individual, fine-spray jets, the standard flow volume of 5.3 litres a minute is reduced to 3.8 litres a minute.
